Heart Eyes and Mountain Hikes
The first thing you might notice about Jocelyn and Eric is that they simply adore each other. They are so kind and so sweet to one another, and it radiates off of them to how they make other people feel. Capturing their love in one of their favorite spots for a Marin County wedding was a delight! Jocelyn and Eric love Mt.Tam so we made sure to get some photos of them with their favorite sleeping lady’s outline.
Mt. Tamalpais: The Ideal Location for a Marin County Wedding
Like most favorite spots, they carry fond memories. For Jocelyn, Bon Tempe Lake was a run she would frequent with her sister in high school while they were on the cross country team. With its steep hills and semi-wide path, it’s a great spot for conditioning. It’s also a great example of the forests and natural lakes that Mt.Tam has to offer. Later, Jocelyn and Eric spent a lot of time hiking Mt.Tam’s many trails and saw it fitting to have their intimate wedding there.
The ceremony was small but full of heart! Their family and their officiant who happened to be one of their best friends were in attendance. (The big party came later.) They forgot their vows in the car and instead of hiking back to the car they were able to rewrite them from memory. I loved the way they said their vows, instead of one person speaking they shared in the vows as in a conversation. One person would say a line and then the other would say another part of the vow. Authentic romance at its finest. This couple holds a special place in my heart and I just loved that they were up for walking around the beautiful Marin area and capturing their true love.
To The Party!
After that scenic wedding ceremony, everyone headed to Terrapin Crossroads, a local restaurant for dinner, cocktails, dancing, and mingling. The local band that was playing downstairs in the restaurant played their first dance song for them, to the wedding party and restaurant goers delight.
Congratulations Jocelyn and Eric! To many more beautiful hikes around Mt.Tam and beyond!
