Booking a family session or wedding means sharing some personal details — names, dates, locations, sometimes family stories. This policy covers what's collected on this site and how it's cared for.
What This Site Collects
Inquiry and booking forms collect your name, email, phone number, and details about your session or wedding (date, location, family members or wedding party involved, and any special requests). Booking a session also means sharing payment information to process retainers and balances, and, for weddings, details like ceremony/reception venues and timelines needed to plan the day.
Your information is never sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies & Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand overall traffic — which pages are visited, general location, device and browser type, and how visitors find the site.
This site also uses Fullstory, a session-recording tool that captures how visitors interact with the site in more detail: clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, and page navigation. This helps spot confusing pages or broken elements so the experience can be improved for future couples and families. Fullstory data is tied to your browsing session, not your name, unless you've submitted a form.
Neither tool is used to sell your data or build advertising profiles. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the [Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on](https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout), and your browser's "Do Not Track" or cookie settings can limit tracking from both tools.
How Information Is Used
Your details are used to plan your session or wedding day, stay in touch about timelines and logistics, send contracts and invoices, and deliver your final gallery. If you submit an inquiry or booking form, your email may also be added to my occasional newsletter list — with mini-session announcements, seasonal availability, and updates. Every email includes an easy unsubscribe link, and opting out takes effect promptly.
Third-Party Tools
Booking, contracts, payments, and gallery delivery run through a small set of trusted platforms: **HoneyBook** for booking, contracts, invoicing, and payment processing, and **Pic-Time** and **ShootProof** for gallery delivery and print ordering. These providers process data only as needed to perform their function and are selected for their security and reliability.
Photos, Portfolio & Social Media
Images from your session may be shared on this website, social media, and in my portfolio to showcase my work, unless you request otherwise in writing before or shortly after your session. Wedding clients are welcome to opt out of public sharing for all or part of their gallery — just let me know your preference before the big day so it can be honored from the start.
Data Retention & Security
Contracts, session details, and galleries are kept for as long as needed to fulfill your booking and for basic business recordkeeping, then archived or removed on a routine schedule. Reasonable safeguards protect your stored information, though no online system is ever 100% guaranteed secure.
Your Rights
You can ask at any time what information is on file, request corrections, or request deletion (aside from records required for contracts or taxes). Just reach out.
California Privacy Rights (CCPA)
California residents have the right to know what personal information is collected, request its deletion, and opt out of the "sale" of personal information. Amy Thompson Photography does not sell personal information to third parties. To make a request regarding your information, contact **Amy@amythompsonphotography.com**.
