The Last Bloomfield Farms Wedding Ceremony
To clarify, Bloomfield Farms just relocated their wedding venue spot called the Rosewood. Don’t panic!
Lisa and Eric got lucky as their wedding was the last one at this location. And what a location! It’s rolling golden hills surrounding the ceremony site located on a ridge. The entire evening was a beautiful reflection of the kind of people Eric and Lisa are, and the people they surround themselves with. Down to earth, authentic, and genuinely lovely humans.
Before the ceremony, Eric got in a huddle with his childhood soccer teammates turned life-long friends while guests took shuttles up to the site. Lisa was driven up in an old truck during the processional, which was so wonderfully unexpected and really accented the rustic Bloomfield Farms wedding.
Back Down The Ridge For Tacos!
As the ceremony ended, everyone headed back down the ridge, with a refreshing cocktail hour halfway between the ceremony site and reception area. What’s a hike without a drink break? And what’s a Bloomfield Farms wedding reception without El Roy’s Mexican Grill truck waiting for them by the barn? El Roy’s holds a very special place in the bride and groom’s stomachs, I mean hearts. Lisa and Eric were sure to put mini hot sauce bottles on the tables for guests to use. I would be remiss to not mention that there was also fresh churros. *Drools.*
“Sunset” Portraits
Eric and Lisa talked about doing sunset photos up on the ridge during the reception, and then the fog rolled in. We went back up to the ridge regardless to get our non-sunset photos and I just love those photos. Shooting with fog is like working with a big fluffy blanket. It softens the light and makes Eric and Lisa just glow and really adds a sweetness to their portraits.
One thing you may notice about these photos is that these two are always laughing with each other. That’s because of the kind of love that they share. They are best friends and are always in on the same joke. Their smiles are genuine and I absolutely loved working with them both. Here’s to many more laughs and plenty more tacos!
