From San Francisco To Marin
I would like to preface this blog with a little blurb about how I am so happy that I was asked to shoot both Tara and Brendan’s engagement session at Muir Woods followed by sunset shots at the Sutro Baths, and then their picturesque Rancho Nicasio wedding. I loved all the venues I got to shoot this lovely couple in as they showcase the natural beauty of the north bay!
Okay, now onto the story of how they met!
How Do You Ask A Bartender Out For A Drink?
Tara and Brendan met when she applied for a job at a bar he was managing. At first they tried not to date and just be friends, however, the heart wants what it wants. Turns out you go to a ceramic place instead of out for drinks if you want to ask a bartender out. Brendan painted an owl plate and Tara has kept it to this day! How do we know this? One of Tara’s bridesmaids brought it and showed it off during the toast that naturally turned into a roast.
Lots of Friends = Lots of Laughs
Brendan and Tara had a huge wedding party. Brendan had a group of guys he grew up with, and Tara had her friends from all parts of her life. When in high school, Tara worked at Macy’s and had bought crystal champagne glasses, knowing that one day she would use these with her husband on their wedding day. She likes to plan ahead, according to Tara’s maid of honor speech. It was a speech that was received with a lot of laughter!
This Rancho Nicasio Wedding Knows How To Party
Through all the loving roasts, it was clear that Brendan and Tara love each other immensely. The way he looks at her, you can feel the connection they share. The way Tara smiles at Brendan as their eyes lock from across the Rancho Nicasio wedding reception area shows two people who love each other fully. Not even the decadent dessert table compares to how sweet these two are.
The night went own with lots of dancing, a flower toss, and a garter toss, and needless to say, this wedding knew how to party! Congrats to Tara and Brendan!
