I’m dreaming of a Redwood engagement session, with muted sunlight filtering down to the magical silence below. I’m dreaming of roses and deserts and of love in the simple things.
And where can you find a Redwood grove within walking distance of a desert? At least one place in the Bay Area – the University of California Botanical Gardens at Berkeley. We chose this gorgeous setting for Connie and Aaron’s engagement session, and I couldn’t have loved it more.
The gardens boast so many different areas, and each holds its own charm. We visited the Redwood Grove, Deserts of the Americas, the Arid house and the Garden of Old Roses, among others. This last has an arbor with a view of San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge.
Connie & Aaron are high school sweethearts who have been together 9 years now. They are fun to be around because they are so relaxed. They love each other and love to make each other laugh. I felt so privileged to get to preserve these snapshots of their love and care for each other.
Fun fact: they got engaged at Disneyland (she loves anything Disney) and plan to have some light accents of Disney at their wedding.
