Stephanie, a San Francisco native, has known since high school that she wanted to have San Francisco Palace of Fine Arts wedding portraits. One day, she would be the one whose photos were being taken with the love of her life, as she had observed so many times before. Who could blame her? It’s one of San Francisco’s most beautiful landmarks. With intricate architectural details, lush greenery, and beautiful water features, it’s a gorgeous choice for wedding photos.
That day wound up being May 12, 2017, to Jeff, an Ohio native. It was a beautiful outside, the skies where clear (no Karl the Fog in sight), with just the slightest breeze. It was perfect for an afternoon of Palace of Fine Arts wedding portraits.
The two met working at the same company 5 years ago and found a common connection through their love of physics when a work conversation changed subjects. Both self-proclaimed nerds wound up having a lot more in common then they initially thought. What grew from that conversation was something I was so happy to capture on camera. They are adorable together, and the looks they exchange tell you just how much they love one another.
Stephanie and Jeff had their official wedding ceremony at San Francisco City Hall, another architecturally stunning building with fantastic lighting. The ceremony was intimate and the love between them was so sweet! Stephanie wore her mother’s wedding dress from 32 years prior, but to modernize it, she de-poofed the sleeves.
Interestingly enough, the SF Chronicle was running a piece on some of the weddings happening that day, 43 total, and Jeff and Stephanie’s was one of the ceremonies featured. Read the feature here.
Thank you Jeff and Stephanie for letting me capture this beautiful day with you. Keep making each other smile, geeking out over physics, and enjoy all the adventures you will go on together.

OMG, you’re so lucky Karl didn’t make an appearance at this intimate San Francisco wedding at the Palace of Fine Arts!! I love SF City Hall, it’s so elegant but still California Cool. This looks like a great small wedding, the bride & groom just radiate love! The metal work glass portrait is my fave – so sweet but cool, I especially love your light!
